This dog breed is sturdy, medium in size and well-built. The Boykin Spaniel breed has agility, speed and endurance. These dogs are capable in any terrain and weather, and are great swimmers. The Boykin Spaniel excels in field events and water retrieving.

This dog breed is good-natured, loyal, devoted and docile. The Boykin Spaniel is an enthusiastic hunter, pleasant companion and willing worker. This breed thrives on human interaction and gets along exceptionally well with children and other pets.

Boykin Spaniel Care

This dog breed requires regular brushing to prevent matting and tangling. Bathing should be done when necessary. It is important to regularly check the ears for debris or infection. The Boykin Spaniel breed is prone to eye problems, hip dysplasia, skin and heart problems.
